Ronald McDonald House
Childhood illness can have a devastating effect on families. As well as the fear and uncertainty, there are the practicalities of managing the family when a child is away in hospital, often for extended periods of time. Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) have been making life easier for seriously ill children and their families since 1981.
RMHC has a wide range of programs to help seriously ill children and their families across Australia, all focused on making the journey to recovery as easy as possible. Big Cat Green Island Reef Cruises are just one of the many supporters of this program
You can find out more about the programs, the team, the families we help and how you can become involved by clicking on http://www.rmhc.org.au
Together we can make a difference.
An email below from a family who experienced Green Island with Big Cat;
To whom it may concern..
We recently visited the Palm Cove area thanks to receiving some accommodation through Ronald McDonald House for my 8 year old daughter who has physical challenges. Big Cat Cruises kindly donated a day tour to our family…..this is not an insignificant amount of money that has been donated, but they put their compassion before their profit and this speaks loads for the culture of such a company. Thank you Big Cat Cruises for your kind donation and the opportunity for my daughter to get into the water and try snorkelling for the first time……it wasn’t the easiest task given her physical limitations, but the staff onboard couldn’t have helped more than they did….always looking out that we were being accommodated and treated fairly by other jostling tourists. There are angels that you come across from time to time and we found one in Big Cat Cruises…..we will always remember this trip and what you have done for us. X
